After Mr Reilly gives the lesson, please work on any incomplete assignments before moving on to new assignments. All of the old assignments including macros and bucket list are due March 12.
1. Watch this video on how a digital slr camera works ( 5 min)
STEPS:
- Google to find a high resolution photo of a model, actor or celebrity. Try not to use a cartoon character or an animal. Copy/Paste it into Photoshop.
- Go out and shoot a person in the class in the same position as your actor/celebrity. Or use one of your head shot photos. Change both photos to black and white which will make it easier.
- You will use the Quick selection tool to circle around the head shot of your friend. Then EDIT/CUT, open up the celebrity photo, and go to EDIT/PASTE.
- Next go to EDIT/TRANSFORM/SCALE and scale the head down to fit on the celebrity body.
- Your next step will be to erase to get out any extra pieces you do not want. Also you can go to the smudge or blur tool to go around the edge of the head to make it look more realistic.
- Then you want to save the photo twice, once as a Photoshop file (psd) and then as a jpeg. Make sure you pay attention to where you are saving the file. You should be saving on the l:drive under photo 9. Lastly, post the jpeg version to flicker in its own album called Photoshop#2
